Hello and welcome!
My name is Raychel Brightman, and I am a professional photographer based in New York. With over a decade of professional experience in the industry, I have developed a keen eye for capturing unique and compelling style visuals that tell a story and leave a lasting impression. I attended The Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, University of the Arts in Philadelphia and School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where my studies of the arts were vast and unlimited by medium. While pursuing my education, I honed my skills in photography, film, and sound while developing a deep appreciation for the art and power of storytelling.
After college, I pursued a career in new media journalism. Throughout my career, I was fortunate enough to receive numerous national and international awards, including a Peabody, 14 New York Emmy Awards and a National Edward R. Murrow award. My art has been featured in magazines like GQ Magazine and exhibited at the San Francisco MOMA and featured on websites such as Food & Wine.
